Reverend Tracey Parris, affectionately known as Rev. Tracey, was born and raised in the East Flatbush section of Brooklyn, NY. Growing up in an urban community filled with diversity and culture, Tracey was drawn to the performing arts at an early age. Throughout Tracey’s formal academic education she strived for excellence and used dance as an outlet for life’s frustrations. Rev. Parris relocated to the Northern Virginia area
and began her journey towards kingdom building in 2005. As the lead choreographer for her church, Tracey taught dance to the children, youth, and adult members of the dance ministry. In 2007, she
participated in a 4-week course and received her license in the Ministry of Movement. Rev. Parris took on the task of assisting a local minister in growing a community-based outreach ministry in 2010. A volunteer administrative position helped to develop her character, integrity, ministry excellence, and the desire for greater knowledge in the Word of God. In October of 2012, Tracey was licensed as a Minister of the Gospel and in 2014 became ordained.
Rev. Tracey obtained her Bachelors of Arts Degree from The University of Valley Forge in Theological Studies with a concentration in Biblical Studies and minor in Business Management. Rev. Parris is certified in Youth Ministry from the Virginia Baptist Mission Board in Richmond, VA; and has previously served as a youth minister, a youth pastor, and an associate minister. She is the former host of an internet radio show Microphone Check, the founder of TraceyParris.com, and a volunteer minister at the Fairfax County Juvenile Detention Center. Currently, Rev. Parris serves as an Associate Minister at Shiloh Baptist Church, located in McLean, VA where Rev. Dr. Robert F. Cheeks is the senior pastor. Rev. Parris mentors young women in ministry, facilitates workshops, and preaches/teaches the Word of God.
